On February 28, 2019 engineering company Gösta Hedlund AB (Hedlunds) was acquired by ARAT Group, which is a part of Storskogen Group.

Hedlunds is a mechanical engineering company that manufactures timber handling equipment and bio-product equipment for the sawmill and cellulose industry. The company has sales of SEK 60 mkr with 20 employees.

ARAT Group supplies high-tech equipment to the sawmill and processing industry. The four companies that form ARAT Group are run independently and have a combined turnover of nearly SEK 400 mkr with 120 employees.

”We see great potential in Hedlunds with talented staff, very good products and a strong brand,” say Johan Andersson CEO ARAT Group.

”We now get the best opportunities to continue to develop the company together with our new and strong owners,” say Gösta Hedlund, former owner of Hedlunds.

Hedlunds will continue to operate independently, but will be a part of the ARAT Group ownership structure.
