SPRINGER to deliver equipment for the sawmill in Khabarovsk region, Russia

SPRINGER Maschinenfabrik received an order from RFP Group for delivery of equipment for sawmill "Far-Eastern Deep Wood Processing Center" in Khabarovsk region, Russia. The new sawmill is to be launched end of 2013.

Austrian manufacturer SPRINGER Maschinenfabrik as a general supplier of the project realized by RFP Group holding in the town of Amursk. The delivery within the project framework includes log sorting line, log feeding line, Linck sawline, as well we two lumber sorting lines. Beside the equipment installation and startup SPRINGER is to supply a set of spare and ware parts for the delivered equipment, and take care about customer’s personnel training.

Designed capacity of the new sawmill makes up some 500 thousand cubic meters sawlogs per year (under two-shift operation). Upon reaching its full capacity, the sawmill can be further re-equipped for larger processing volume. 

General supplier experience

The mentioned project is not the first where Springer is given the role of the project general supplier. One of the examples of Springer experience in this filed in Russia is Terneyles sawmill (Primorsky region) – the sawmill belonging to Japanese concern Sumitomo successfully launched 21 months after the contract signing. As a general supplier of the project SPRINGER constructed a sawmill producing 350 thousand cubic meters per year.

Remote location of the sawmill has not become an obstacle for the project realization: consignment warehouses for spare and ware parts were constructed to ensure proper technical service for the equipment, for electronic control system online remote service is available.
