Greetings from the forest of Vaggeryd! Doppstadt at the world's largest forestry trade fair!
10 June 2017
A good atmosphere at the stand, strong interest in the presentations and plenty of new contacts: we are delighted with our successful presence at Elmia Wood, the largest forestry trade fair in the world, which took place between 7 and 10 June near Jönköping in southern Sweden.
Elmia Wood is THE international forum for the forestry and timber industries. The fair only takes place every four years, in Sweden. But when it comes round, it does so on a grand scale, with the forest location for the industry event in keeping with the theme. Here the exhibitors can show what they have to offer. Machinery, plant and vehicles are demonstrated to a huge audience.
Our Doppstadt team was there to demonstrate our method for processing biomass. This involves chipping, shredding and separating. Visitors were able to watch our large-scale chippers and screening machines in action. Our specialist chipping machines reduce branches, logs and root timber to wood chips, while the screening machines sort the material fed into them into as many as six fractions.
These well-attended demonstrations were held four times each day. An element of excitement was added by the appearances of our brand ambassador Danny Mahr. At the start of each Doppstadt demonstration the timber-sports athlete put his world-class wood-chopping skills on display. Quite something to see!
‘Our forestry sector is lucky to have this trade fair: it is an opportunity for us to make international contacts and win new customers’, says Marco Hillbrand, a specialist distributor of chipper systems for Doppstadt.
