EWD to demonstrate new machine at Ligna 2013

15 April 2013

The EBB 1800 R slanted bandsaw headrig for double cut action is giving it's Ligna debut. The 1800 mm [6ft] wheel diameter headrig is the machine of choice for the hard- and softwood sawmills processing medium to large logs.

The machine is of course fitted with the new technology of the Flying BandSaw. The active bandsaw guide system with intelligent magnets makes it possible to produce
highly accurate sawn lumber at any time of the year, at much higher feed speeds than machines with conventional pressure guides. The bandsaw blade is tracked and actively steered in real time, lifting the performance of a good tool to a new level of speed and accuracy. Tests have shown a possible reduction of 0,5 mm [0.02 in] of the target sizes.

From our world of EWD BandsawTechnology we also show the twin band resaw system EBT_2-1600. The band resaws EBT-1600 with 1600 mm [5ft] and EBT-1800
with 1800 mm [6ft] wheel diameter are the core machines of the powerful, high recovery new bandsaw lines of EWD.
