USNR \ Söderhamn Eriksson presented new continuous tilt hoist!

29 June 2017

The Continuous Tilt Hoist offers the ultimate in production, with a smooth, continuous flow of kiln dried lumber to the planer mill infeed. The design is capable of unstacking up to 22 tiers of lumber per minute, depending on package size. The main hoist can work alone, if required, and a secondary hoist can be added as an upgrade to an existing hoist for continuous actuation. Linear transducers and servo valves, actuated from the PLC, provide continuous performance with no inhibitions based on environment (temperature, etc.). Our tilt hoists include a lugged let-down spill chain for robust board management, and a bias adjustment for leveling the package. They also include an optional frost breaker to handle frozen loads.

The handoff from primary hoist to secondary hoist is in the range of 3 to 5 seconds, allowing for nearly continuous unstacking of lumber.
