Ilim Timber to reconstruct sawmill site in Ust-Ilimsk branch
In February 2020, Ilim Timber signed a contract with Swedish sawmill equipment manufacturer Ari Visland for the supply of technological equipment to replace frame flows at the sawmill site at Ilim Timber LLC branch in Ust-Ilimsk.
The purpose of modernization is to replace frame flows with modern milling and brushing equipment. Installation and launch of the equipment is planned for the first half of 2021.
"This project is aimed at improving the quality of the products produced and the efficiency of production in general and is only the first step in the program of reconstruction of the plant," - said Victor Melnik, Investment Director of Ilim Timber LLC.
The branch of Ilim Timber LLC in Ust-Ilimsk specializes in the production of coniferous lumber from Angar pine and Siberian larch. The production capacity for finished lumber is about 600,000 m3 per year.
